I've heard some friends talking about how great Knapek hooks are and I admit they really look very nice. I'm wanting to know about sizes. Some folks have said there is a difference in sizes. How for example, does the Knapek Shenk Length compare to a TMC or daiichi standard nymph hook in terms of length. Here our nymphs are generally no bigger than a 14 in the mountains and lots of 16's-18's on the tailraces. Will size 16 barbless knapek wet fly hook be the same in length as a TMC 9300. I guess I'm just curious about the size conversion if any before ordering some. Josh

Hello Josh, You can get the hooks real size by printing this image following way: The image(not the page) "Save Image As" then open in your picture manager (Photoshop, ACDSee, Irfan View,....) and print in size 7x6 inch and resolution 300 dpi.

Duke: they run big (a size 14 is roughly equivalent to a size 12 TMC 2457) but they are really great hooks. My only problem with the knapeks is running out and having to reorder them all the time. I use size 14-16's on our local tailwaters without any problems.
