Hi I don't know about for an authentic Czech nymph leader , but when using Stroft i all ways use a two turn water knot, seem to work ok , with no bulk.

Droppers should be attached with a loop knot that allows the fly to spin on the leader. The loop should rest between two barrel knots or similar type knots to keep the flies from sliding up and down.
However this type of knot is considered illegal in FIPS competitions since they will move. For competitions you'll have to use a tag end off of another knot or a system that allows for quick change but will not allow the fly to slip. This will also introduce some twist into the system so it might be advised to use a slightly heavier leader with lighter tags.

Hi guys, ive been using tippet rings lately in an attempt to stop twist, but it doesnt seem to be making much difference. The only plus is that i dont lose a full cast on snags with the droppers being tied with lighter line.
