hi jan- i have a czech nymphing fishing technique question...
if i want to fish small midges, size 20-24 size stuff, how would you successfully fish with heavy anchor in fast water/deeper pools(either 2 flies or 3 flies) and still get a good drift? how would you set up tags/leader/etc...
thanks, barb

Hi Barb, try 10 ft Aftma 3-4 rod, long leader - 10 yds - fluorocarbon - 0X, indicator leader, monoleader - 7X 2-3 yds (length depending on the depth of the stream), 2 droppers (midges), 1 anchor fly (tungsten beaded) Cheers Jan

hi jan- thanks for the info. but i have a question....
...so you are saying 10yds of 0x (flouro), then indicator (colored) leader, then 2-3 yds of 7x. OR do you taper the 10yds of flouro (0x,1x,2x,3x,4x,5x,6x) to indicator leader then 2-3 yds of 7x??

Barb, You can taper the butt leader, but it in not necessary. Make a knots on butt leader in certain distances and keep the knot between thumb and middlefinger of your casting hand - to feel better the fish strike. Cheers, Jan
