I'm looking to spin and dub squirrel tail hair into a dubbing loop to make bodies for a wooly worm. As you know squirrel tail hair is very course and i'm having a hard time keeping the hair up between the loop to spin. would any of your tools work for this?

You can spin the squirrel tail in our turbo spinning block shop.siman.cz/_109840.htm Use stainless wire and 3 layers of dubbing: first layer should be some fine dubbing (squirrel), the second squirrel tail hair, the third again some fine dubbing. If the wire will break, use wire+thread or double wire.

Another very effective method is using the "Turbo Dubbing Twister" from Siman Ltd - shop.siman.cz/_109831.htmAfter you'd formed the loop close the loop with 2 wraps of the tying thread near the hook shank. Before adding the hair do some turns with the spinner. After you'd mounted the hair in the loop, the hair will do some turns, but will keep any position you want.
