Hi Jan,
I got back from the competition with no very good results: 12th in individual competition and 4th on the team competition. Until the last session, my team, Team Confederation, was on medal position. Unfortunately, in the last session only I won in my sector, my teammates blanked. There were 10 teams and 50 competitors.
I receive the hooks too late to make a lot of flies on them and that was, I believe, my biggest mistake and I lost many fish I hooked into. For example, in the last session I was fishing from the beach on the ocean for cutthroats. I started with a fly made on a Mustad hook and lost two fish. I switched to a Knapek hook fly and I got two trout.
I want to thank you again for your help. Regards.
Marius

Q: Hi, My name is Steve Bodely I like to fish for steelhead and tie my own flies, I normally use Drennan carbon lure hooks size 4, but they are now out of production, I like the look of your Knapek barbless streamer hooks would they be strong enough for steelies up to 20 lb.
A: (Jan Siman): Steve, my friend Jindrich Knapek has experience with salmon 26 lbs hooked on Knapek jig hook and succesfully landed. I guess these hooks are strong enough for steelhead too. You should try small order, test them and let me know.

Jan,
I assume that the difference between the Midge Pupae hooks and the Shrimp hooks is wire thickness?
