An Idea and a question.

First the question.
Is the Magic Shrimp Foil always tied in so that the mat side is showing, or do you sometimes have the shiny side showing?

And the idea. Replace black dubbing at the head of the nymph with natural dark ostrich herl! Looks good to me.

nice fly and tip for tying thorax.

My experience about magic shrimp foil is, that mat side showing is better for fish, the shiny side looks better for fisherman

hi jan-
i have a czech fishing technique question...

if i want to fish small midges, size 20-24 size stuff, how would you successfully fish with heavy anchor in fast water/deeper pools(either 2 flies or 3 flies) and still get a good drift? how would you set up tags/leader/etc...
