Jan, I usually fish with size 18-22 like jujube, wd's, pheasant tails, zebra midge etc.
What sizes scuds do I use?
Can I go bigger like 14-12 size and be still successful?
My water is a tail water with temperature between 7C and 12C

I do not know your rivers, Czech nymphs in sizes 12-18 usually work in tail waters. The best is to research insect on the bottom and make similar fly patterns with hot spots.
